We are definitely one the homeward run with regard to the Club’s formal commitments for the year, with the QKR Seminar, grading opportunity and Kendo State Championships now a little under two weeks away, and the Jujutsu grading opportunity a little under three weeks away.
This week we will be continuing our preparation for these events in class. There are a few deadlines to note.
First, if you intend to compete at the Kendo State Championships, you will need to have your expression of interest lodged with Tamura sensei no later than next Monday (30th November). Second, if you intend to challenge for grade in Jujutsu, you will have to e-mail me with a formal expression of interest by Friday so that I can prepare the necessary paperwork to do pre-grading checks and revision for next week.
Also remember that Russell Lawrence, sensei, will be visiting next week, and we shall have some timetable changes on Tuesday and Thursday to reflect that. It will be important for everyone challenging grades to come to as many training sessions as they can make over the next two weeks.
It has been a long year of effort this year for everyone training, and I am looking forward to seeing the fruits of this effort manifest in the coming weeks. As always: Gambatte! And I will look forward to seeing you at the dojo.
